Maple Nut Bars are a great breakfast, snack or dessert! Made with pure Brantview Farms Maple syrup, they are easy to make and are perfect to cut and take to any event.

Ingredients:

1/3 cup butter

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1 egg

1/8 tsp salt

1/8 tsp baking soda

3/4 cup flour

1/2 cup nuts (pecans or walnuts)

Rows of cookie-like bars sit on wax paper and are coated with white powdered sugar.
Maple Nut Bars dusted with powdered sugar are a sweet treat!

Directions:

Cream butter until soft. Add powdered sugar and blend. Beat in egg, maple syrup, salt and baking soda. Then mix in flour. Lastly, stir in nuts. Pour batter into a greased 8x8 inch pan and bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes (or until done and toothpick can be inserted and removed clean). Cut into bars while warm and coat in dusting of powdered sugar.
