Brant Family Ham Loaf

This is a family recipe and crowd favorite! A traditional ham loaf with a simple basting sauce that awakens your taste buds! Sweet and savory, this ham loaf uses pure Brantview Farms Maple sugar and will have you returning for seconds!

 

Ingredients:

2 lb. ham loaf mix

2 eggs

1 cup bread crumbs

1/2 cup milk

1 cup water

1/2 cup vinegar

2 tsp mustard



A solid block of meat sits inside a black pot.

Directions:

Combine mix, eggs, bread crumbs and milk forming a loaf.

Wrap loaf in foil and freeze overnight.

Bake loaf in foil for 2 hours at 350 degrees with a little water in pan.

Remove foil and poke loaf with fork, creating holes. Combine maple sugar, water, vinegar and mustard in stove-top pan and bring to boil. Baste loaf with sauce. Bake for 1 additional hour uncovered.

The loaf of meat is cut into inch wide pieces inside the black cooking pot.
Sliced - ready to eat some ham loaf!
