Maple Cake

Recipe from Sechler Sugar Shack


1 pkg yellow cake mix

3 eggs

1/3 cup cooking oil

1 cup water

1/2 cup pure Brantview Farms Maple Sugar

1/2 cup pure Brantview Farms Maple Syrup

Maple Cake warm from the oven!


Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a fluted tube pan or bundt pan. This is important step! Make sure you grease and flour thoroughly to ensure your cake comes out nice in the end!

Blend the cake mix, eggs, oil and water - beat on high for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake in oven for 35-40 minutes - until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean.

Last five minutes of cake baking, place a small saucepan on stove and bring 1/2 cup of maple syrup and 1/2 cup of maple sugar to a boil, dissolving the sugar.

When cake is removed from the oven and still hot, pour the warm maple syrup/sugar mixture around the edges of the cake. Cool upright in pan at least 15-20 minutes. Turn cake onto a serving plate to remove from pan.

Cake can be served warm or cool!
